How does OT work?

At Coulee KidSpace, we utilize a developmental, play-based framework influenced by Sensory Integration theory and the DIR Floortime model. Sessions are generally 50 minutes in length, on a recurring weekly basis following evaluation. The evaluation process includes: a developmental history, parent interview, standardized tests as appropriate, and in person sessions with the direct client/child for clinical observations, followed by a parent session to discuss the findings of the evaluation and to establish goals as appropriate. OT sessions move forward at the child’s pace and include parent participation as much as possible.
